Completed 1891 as three-masted barque Gladys for Hill & Sons. 1897 sold to Shaw London. 1912 sold to Taltal Shipping. 1916 acquired by Anglo-Saxon and renamed "GAPER SHELL". Conversion to a twin-screw motor tanker. 1919 wrecked on Manfamede Island.
