Joined in Brunei Bay April 1976 when vessel had been laid up straight from the builders. Divers found the anchor chain to be not only twisted, but also twisted back on itself resulting in a Christmas Tree profile. Brunei Shell loaned us the Anchor Handling Supply Tug Smit Lloyd 19 which towed us around in circled so as to clear the chain. Capt.Stanley Dean later joined as Master and vessel proceeded to Sembawang Singapore for not so much for a refit but for hull cleaning and repainting. |
