| 12/10/2017 - 23:26 | My first trip to sea was the SS Lanistes. I was 18. Joined her at anchor of the West Coast of Scotland. 2miles out. Didn't know what to expect. Was terrified. I was deck boy. The Bosun was the biggest man I had ever seen. Big Latvian. Very fair. Must have had an impact on me as I'm still working at sea. Things very different nowadays. Years have flown by. |
