My first ship was the TARIA. I came on board in Liverpool.
The only crew members I remember are: Capt. Stoppelsteen
Meester Dijkstra Ch. Eng; Zas Hoek sec. eng; Daantje de Haas thrd eng ( later murdered in A.dam) Wieringa Appr eng. Meester Dijkstra left the Taria and was replaced by the famous/horrible Meester Evers. He refused to sign my appr eng workbook because I did not make a "mandi" tin to his requirements. ( mandi tin is small can he used when he took a bath )

Hello Kees, It is nice to find out that you sailed on the Vasum too. How is it possible that we worked together at ARN for many years and did not know this. Best regards and enjoy your retirement
