the bellamaya and battilus were huge ships,500,000 tonnes plus.i sailed on shell uk lightening ships [natacina ,darina , drupa, and took cargoes from both of these ships on

proberly the best of the lighteners always very busy, trips used to fly bye,did 6/7 trips on her ,during the mid 70s to mid 80s.all the usual ports of call,tranmere allways

Great times on this ship ,very busy times ,lightening/north sea ,brent spar flyer extra leave then cash it in ,loadsamoney lol .all added up over a 6 month trip .Then back

joined the m.v cockroach [erinna] in sol islands took over from a very reluctant to leave chinese crew very cloak and dagger ish .

good ship to sail on ,far east mostly odd trip around pacific islands,aussie and nz,did 2 or 3 trips on her always good crews ,mainly lads off the north sea / lightening ga

Joined the eulota in the river blackwater where shell had taken over this fine vessel ,didnt know what to expect ,as it was a lube oil / small parcels of anything come tank

What a ship this was ,as a young cat/deck boy it was great zipping in/out of ports lightening huge tankers at least 50,000 tonnes lol.

yet another great ship to be on in the late 70s to early 80s really busy for a big ship around the uk/europe coastal trade plus a fair bit of lightening thrown in.

Joined the tectus by chopper at las palmas on her maiden voyage as the tectus. en route to richards bay sa.coal everywhere.fancied a change and it sure was!
