Hi. I joined the ship Amoria December 1966 early on in the vietnam war, I remember we made several trips to Saigon and Danang Bay carrying aviation spirit for the american aircraft.It was quite a risky journey as the Mekong river as i remember was quite long and not very wide,but i was very young and saw it as a great adventure.I was nicknamed Ringo by the radio officer due to my long hair and the popularity of the Beatles at the time.I would love to hear of anyone who served on the amoria at that time. |
